Guided Cyclic Sighing (5 Minutes) - Andrew Huberman
Where and how did that 10-17-20 min. come about?
This is a yoga exercise that has been done for thousands of years in India
My parents and husband’s parents made it to just over 90 and were active in the garden and shed etc. They didn’t run or even exercise, but they did move, pottering around, didn’t smoke and weren’t overweight. They ate anything they wanted and loved their sweets and cakes. However, a lot of their food was homemade, but not all. I would think they would have had very low VO2max. Something worked for them.
So if your a man that weighs 170lbs. You should be able to farmer carry an 85lb kettle ball in each hand for 2 minutes??
Huberman must live an incredible life based on all of his nonstop advice. He sure acts like he has the answers to every single question life asks us.
He's basically talking about Vipassana meditation with heavy scientific words
Click bait
Actually this is meditation.
I do this a lot bc I never wanna do anything. But I have no idea what I want to do with my life
Reverse aging.....🤣🤣🤣. Send me a notice with the video where Peter's reverse-aging hacks puts a full head of hair back on his head like when he was "young". And the same goes for both Peter and Andrew's when their beards start reversing their grey hairs. Ya can't solve something as irrelevant and simple as that and it's your full-time job, but I'm suppose to think you can tell me how to "reverse age". Geeez. Second oldest profession in the world........Longevity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🧐
how many of the 600mg fadgoia tablets should be taken a day do you know?
Which book has all this information.
Guys…dont listen to this as gospel. We are all different. Do what works for you. There are massive drawbacks to ingesting vitamins that you are not deficient in. Get your vitamin levels checked dont just start taking vitamins. Creatine also can have major side effects so be careful
Great video, I think the ability to utilize top down mindset is very important. Your right I believe looking ahead at where you will be or end can also be great motivation. David Goggins is so inspirational, because as he explains that almost everything he has to do has been challenging. The never give up attitude is so great .
Well said!
Video on mindset to nail clutch moments in life would be great
Noted! That sounds like a great topic.
This guy likes the sound of his own voice - more content free yapping....What 5 exercises?
Pin me 📌 if you love me too ❤
We love you!
This is interesting nonsense. His program can certainly increase athletic ability but will only marginally impact longevity. we only have only so much energy and this becomes significant as we age. Movement is of paramount importance, not difficult macho type metrics. I do 10k steps a day and some pushups and exercise bands twice a week. That's enough given my energy level. Most would say I don't look 79 and have ample strength and functional fitness.
November 2023 I experienced a heart attack, diagnosis Takotsubo, started on Losartan 25 mg qd and Metoprolol 25 mg qd. In the following days I began with 20 minutes walks 3 times a day and by January was doing low impact aerobics 4x/wkly and walking 2-3 miles each day, resigned my position as a Mobile Crisis Triage RN. I practice mindfulness, yoga Nidra and focus on a healthy diet. In February one of my son overdosed on Fentanyl and April represented one year since I lost my best friend - my dog of 12 years, my best boy. Outcome destabilization of blood pressure, increase in meds, and extreme anxiety, my nemesis. Btw, I carry a diagnosis of CPTSD related to childhood and lifelong abuse. I’m a 71 yr old female, I’ve worked extremely hard for the last 8 years - through weekly therapy, EMDR. Fortunately, I began Esketamine sessions 2 yrs ago that had been mind expanding and was able to eliminate ALL psych meds. Unfortunately, it lead to increasing blood pressure, which I believe lead to hypertension…and then a heart attack. I’m at risk of another heart attack if I can not manage my psychosocial stressors. Any advice?
This video just seems like an excuse to tech talk about gym rat stuff. Dead hang is definitely not essential to long life. My dad is 96 and has never done one, lol. NONE of the people I’ve known who are their 90s have been gym rats. And I managed a seniors complex for 13 years.
I'm 78, weigh 180. So carry 90 pounds in each hand for farmer's carry. I wonder how many even half my age could do that. I'm not even close. Some of Peter's stuff seems a bit crazy
Rule of thumb: if they talk about the research and the science (behind anything) before telling you about the technique, it's bullshit. If the technique really works, they'll let you try it first, feel it, believe it, then explain to you how that happened by science. But when they do the former, it's probably to prime you / brainwash you.
Adjust for gender?? But there’s no difference between men and women!! 😏
Summary at 5:44
what's the name of the song in that video?
I pushed heavy iron for about 30 years. Move away from free weights and machines. Overcoming Isometrics, Kettle Bell Swings, and Animal/Primal Flow. I feel great and look good.
Mouth breathers😖
To be completely transparent I’ve found beating your meat before the gym can enhance your focus on the gym
Thank you so much ❤ Dimpho Johanna Johannesburg
Technique seems forced. What about gratitude for being able to do challenging things. Gratitude for being able to make choices
I sat all the way through that without looking away once and it felt like way less than 17 minutes Absolutely magical
When you attention span is so short you can't even finish watching this video
Any really good vigorous resistant exercise is good for you in short bursts of workouts and not cardio or long drawn out ones. Just do it.
Most data is about 40 year olds. Not too hard to stay in shape at 40. But at 60 even after working out for many years, something changes. Hard to figure out at this point in life a workout program that strengthens without causing injury.
Not a morning person at all and I’ve tried the sunlight tip, but it hasn’t worked at all for me. I also have summer SAD (aka “reverse” SAD) so not sure if it’s related to that 🫤
Oh, that’s great. I dead hang 3 mornings a week for 2 minutes and I’m 78! Plus I do power walks every morning for 2.8 to 3 moles, depending on my route.
I fully believe my tourettes is due to my angry and frustration i kept inside after i was raped at 13 and not long after diagnosed with (wrongly at first) Severe aspergers and ADHD it was the year 2000! I was then properly treated and turned out i had mild autism ADHD and coprolalia TS have lots o failed drugs including RITALIN. But when you describe the feeling people get like lactic acid in you're body THAT is literally what people with TS feel all the time a sensation of vibration all over your body and the worst part of it is in the brain. So i feeel a lot of people are feeling how we are right now and i can tell you with many years feeeling incredibly sad angry yeno it all that bs...is taking time just taje time bk for yourself and do with it as you wish (yeno i'd recomend something to benifit you in a positive way )
My dad smoked cigars for 60 years, and ate bacon and eggs almost every morning. Lived until 92
The exception, could have live 100 Plus eating healthy and not smoking
Read up on bell curves 😊
@@ramonocasio8413xkctly what I was going to say
Funny that should come across this video because I've been doing this breathing automatically without realizing when I've been stressed in the past few weeks
It's psycho soma....psychosomatic phenomenon is proven truth....
This guy loves click baiting and interpreting research to his favor. Do your own research, this is not “the only workout routine you will ever need”
Great video, but can it be explained or measured if you have for example, "none service related " advanced arthritis at the knees, damage meniscus stuff like that? Is not only over weight or laziness but other physical problems which stop alot of older people from been physically active.
IN MUSLIM HOLY QURAN THE VIRTUE OF EARLY MORNING WAKING ARE DISCUSSED AND IN ONE PLACE GOD SWEARS BY THE TIME OF MORNING WHEN THE SUN IS JUST ARISING.
excellent❤
Srilankan in Holland
Dangers of smoking are hugely exaggerated. Doesn’t mean they’re not real only overstated. Non-smokers with insufficient exposure to sunlight die younger than smokers. I smoked for 35 years and now at 64 have VO2 score in ‘elite’ percentile.
06:30, 8:43
So the key is: don't eat donuts to reward yourself for the good work that you have just done.
Yeah, deadlifts, farmers walks, intervertebral discs in pain, more pain more gain, share this nonsense, subscribe, make me more money....where do we go?
